| Abstract |
| The economic animals are widely used as a source of meat, hair, and fur. But consumpton rates far exceed producton rates, and many of some species are facing extncton due to habitat loss, climate change and other human actvites. Fortunately, advances in science and technology are opening up new opportunites for animal conservaton. Recently, in vitro maturaton (IVM) and cryopreservaton techniques have been developed that ofer new hope for preserving producton rates for food bumper and endangered species. In vitro maturaton (IVM) and gamete cryopreservaton are advanced reproductve techniques that have revolutonized the feld of animal breeding. In IVM, immature eggs are removed from female animals and matured in the laboratory before being fertlized with sperm. This technology benefts animals that are difcult to stmulate with conventonal hormone therapy. Gamete cryopreservaton involves freezing and storing sperm or eggs for future use. This allows breeders to preserve gametes from high- performance animals for later use in breeding programs. It is becoming increasingly crucial for conservaton eforts because it can increase the genetc diversity of herds. These techniques were also used in animal breeding, allowing farmers to improve herd genetcs and increase productvity. This review summarizes the recent advances in IVM and cryopreservaton technology, their protocols, methods and tools. |
