Abstract
Integrated membrane systems (IMS), ultrafiltration (UF)/ nanofiltration (NF), were developed to water reuse of textile industry. To achieve this propose, many UF and NF membranes were prepared and characterized by FTIR & SEM. The optimum membranes were applied for the treatment of both synthetic and real textile industrial for water reuse. The integrated UF/NF membrane system achieved water flux of 93.5 and 52.5 LMH and salt rejection of 97 and 89 %, respectively, for synthetic textile wastewater. While application of IMS for textile wastewater treatment gave 52 and 58 LMH and salt rejection of up to 85%. The treated water produced from integrated UF/NF membranes system can be directly reused within the same textile industry in scouring and finishing processes.
